UGC. User-Generated Content. Inviting your audience to share and be a part of the conversation. It's nothing but digital goodness. But we all want digital peace of mind too. To know what the terms and conditions of content use are, right? Now you, and your audience can have exactly that.ScribbleLive Engage clients can now enable Rights Management settings for UGC. When this feature is enabled, your audience will be asked to read and agree to your custom "Terms & Conditions" (T&C), prior to proceeding with any of that delicious digital sharing.A little more about ScribbleLive's T&C feature:
- By clicking on the "Rights Management" section on the Global Settings page, your Engage platform Admins can customize the T&C text and then activate this option
- The T&C text added here will appear for all associated client Streams & Pinboards that have our 'Upload' function turned ON for.
- Once enabled, your audience will be prompted to read the Terms & Conditions and check the I agree box before they will be able to upload any content.

A great piece of content is more than the sum of its assets, but let’s face it—a great photo or immersive video can be the difference between virality and obscurity. To this end, ScribbleLive is very excited to launch Collections—a new way to work with your team on sourcing and managing image and video assets for use in your content.Collections
Some of the key features in Collections include:- Store and manage assets: Upload image and video files to a collection, where they can live until you’re ready to curate or publish them into an experience.
- Full asset readiness: Prepare images and video for prime time with editing features and captions, to create a standardized description and provide attribution.
- Search and filter: Easily find the assets you’re looking for with tagging, search and filtering capabilities.
- Asset reuse: Images and video can be expensive to produce or procure. Collections make it easy to surface content for reuse across content experiences.
- Collect user-generated content: Tap into the content mines of your audience, and gather user-generated content right in your Collection, where you can manage, organize and publish it to any content experience.

On June 1st we were very excited to launch Projects: a new way for teams to work together on content related to a common goal.
Projects help content marketers and publishers plan their content strategy by collaborating on topics, experiences, goals, distribution channels and promotion. They can create original content and source and curate from social media, RSS feeds and stock photography, ensuring they’re creating the best experience for their audience. And our measurements give them a holistic view of what content on what channel is best at driving success.

ScribbleLive Pro: New look, added functionality
ScribbleLive - Your Content Marketing SoftwareYou may have noticed: We have a new look. But rest assured beneath this new facade, all of the great content engagement tools remain. -
Looking to incorporate content from Reuters' global team of photographers? Reuters Pictures customers can find and use content in any ScribbleLive stream or article. It's as simple as logging in to your Reuters account from the sidebar.
-
You can now access, search and filter through all the media (photos/videos) across your account.* Find content used in any past article or event, and re-use or re-purpose it with its URL. -
An event can be displayed as a timeline on your white label, or embedded onto your site. Here's a few instances where we think it could be useful:
- Re-creating a historic event: Create day-long re-enactments that follow minute-by-minute events such as the JFK assassination, OJ’s car chase, etc. Can also be accomplished ahead of time using the scheduling feature.
- Beef up content-light events: For always-on events or stories where the updates are less frequent, a timeline can be more appealing than a liveblog with only a few posts.
- Present a lot of information, nicely: Readers can flip through and experience every piece of content—not just let their eyes skim past and miss important bits within the stream.
- Re-creating a historic event: Create day-long re-enactments that follow minute-by-minute events such as the JFK assassination, OJ’s car chase, etc. Can also be accomplished ahead of time using the scheduling feature.
-
Now, your audience can upload photos and video to your event, making gathering user-generated content easier than ever.
To get started, enable "Allow commenters to upload" on the Setup page of your Event. If moderation is on, all media uploaded by your audience will show up in the moderation queue.

Not all content is created equal—this is why we’ve created Content Icons, giving you the ability to highlight any post, setting it apart from its content counterparts. When selected, a content icon will display the image and its text over a custom-coloured banner, like so:
-
You're running a live content stream, but you want to surface specific pieces of it across your digital properties. Grab a poll, photo or gallery and embed it anywhere on your site.
-
Yes, you read that right. Admins and Developers in your account can now create embed templates that are responsive by default. Desktop, mobile ot tablet—the width and height will adjust automatically. Just make sure automatic sizing is set to "on" when editing a template.NOTE: You'll notice the embed code looks different than it used to. Without getting too into specifics, we structured the code differently to allow it to be responsive. Users may notice an issue when trying to embed it to a site that doesn't allow script code. If you do, click "Old Code." It will bring up an iframe option. (Unfortunately, iframes are not responsive, but it is better than not having any live content!)
-
Live content doesn't always need to display in a stream. Now, you can embed a pinboard of the content you're creating and curating. Customize the look and feel of a template you can use over and over again, and simply place the embed code where you'd like the pinboard to appear on your page. Users can filter content by type (text, photos, tweets, etc.) This solution is great for more visual events.
-
Our new search feature allows you to easily find content to reuse in your live events. Search by event or keyword and filter by media type and/or date created.
-
We now support PDF file types for upload directly to ScribbleLive (up to 250mb). Files will be embedded directly into your event stream. Users can zoom in or out as they scroll through the pages of your document, or open the PDF in its own tab for easier viewing.
